back button

Install went perfectly fine, however upon launch of the program there is 
no back button on the Navigator toolbar. Has anyone experienced this 
problem before? I checked preferences inside and out and can seem to 
find nothing in there. If anyone has any suggestions plz shot some ideas 
my way.
