Yes, they do get attention: "Damn! Why is that guy screaming 
at me?!" It's a rather annoying way to get attetion, and 
it's also unnecessary here since many developers and 
nondevelopers (like myself) read this newsgroup, it's not 
like your message would go completely unnoticed.

And when I asked if there were bugs filed, I implied that I 
also wanted to see the bug numbers so I could see if I can 
confirm them. Mentioning bug numbers helps a bunch when 
you're talking about a problem or else no one interested in 
the bug would be able to investigate it.

Anyway, I did some digging in Bugzilla on my own and found 
your bug report:

I'm using today's build, 2001051704 on Windows 98 SE, I 
can't reproduce what you're seeing. Have you tried clicking 
on other messages?
