Check Edit-Preferences-Mail and Newsgroups-Message Display.
Font style and size can be set there, both settings are "Regular" for
me, and I don't have your problem.

Yes. I use nightlies and my profile data is usually kept intact.
Occasionally, you must delete the index files (*.msf), but that doesn't
happen as often anymore.

BTW, I hope you never used return receipts in NC4x, they're missing from
Moz. It will neither ask for receipts nor return them. They may be
implemented some day.
