I don't think treating this person "sanely and politely" or "ignoring"
him are the solution.
He is not "not bright" (Greg Miller), in fact he seems particularly
"street wise" as far as appearing to be involved in critical debate.
Where in reality his aim seems to be to disrupt, discredit, disturb,
misinform, and even, in the end, damage the Mozilla project.
I for one will not take this threat lightly. He is either a very
disturbed person or a very destructive and unethical one. Either way he
is attempting to damage this worthy project; and I will do what I can to
stop him and inform those who might "wander" in to this group and take
what he is saying as valid and truthful criticism (which it definetely
is not).
I think countering his posts on a factual level is probaby the best
solution. But I suggest we develop a statement that we add to the end of
each of our replies to him.
For example:
"Please Note: JTK is known to post misrepresentations of truth and of
deliberatly disrupting this newsgroup. Please either ignore his posts or
make sure you confirm the so-called "facts" he is posting."
