Yes I reliaze that. but; object of the group is design of html pages that display
images that, among other things scroll up or down, sideways, bounces, blinks. Or text
that scroll, or use buttons to squence multple images. and in most cases accompanied
by embedding sounds, mid, mp3, wavs. This is only a few of the many things that can be
done. Even some use of Java Applets are used although some cause Communicator Mac to
Lockup among other things because the Communicator version of Communicator can't use
AWT1.1 commands while PC's can They also don't appear to do so in Mac version of MOz
or N6.
Most of the posters, have there own web pages and use the group to hone skills. One of
the users from Japan has even created .jar file scripts that when dropped into the
plugins adds additional commands to messenger html editor.
How sad though, in a way. Much of to all, the effort will be killed off or perhaps
killed altogether when Mozilla and Netscape 6 becomes the norm as almost none of the
skills learned will be supported, whether in quirks mode or not.
I've tried viewing some of the post in Moz and none of the "tricks" work and none of
the embedded sound can be heard. (Though they can be in Explorer).
