Mozilla isn't able to handle properly formed URLs: it will even (get
this) actually allow a suitably-malformed URL to be a *security risk*!!
*JUST THE URL*, not even what it points to or anything!
Your idea of course has merit, meaning that it will almost assuredly not
be considered by the Maozilla Politburo. If this is a violation of the
HTML standards (of which there appears to be some question), then I
don't think there's any reason for Maozilla to accept such a malformed
URL in an HTML file, but certainly in the address bar it should accept
either, regardless.
