Folks, Dunno where to post this one so bear with me. Iam running Iplanets 5.1 messaging server with the Iplanet LDAP directorry server on Solaris 8. I install according to the manual. Everything installs fine, everything starts up just perfect. I add a new user to the top level DN and set access permissions as imap: all, pop : all, smtp : all and http : all. my domain is also added as the domain from which acess is permitted. I fire up, a Eudora, Netscape and even outlook client from a PC and try to access the newley created account via IMAP, POP and even HTTP and is pukes with authentication failed. The error codes in the messaging server say client 192.168.0.8 auth failed. I make all sorts of changes to the messaging server services access table such as IP address, client name and even 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0 and it still pukes. Iam about ready to rm *.*. Help!~
