Ok, helpfull stuff here! I do have a socks5 proxy, but I'm well aware of
it! I installed it myself (a long time ago). What does this have to do
with connecting to the irc-server? It's on a different port (6667). And
more importantly: is this the result of a misconfiguration that I'm NOT
aware of?
