The spellcheck at

ftp://ftp.netscape.com/pub/netscape6/english/6.1_PR1/unix/linux22/xpi/

works for me with Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.2) 
Gecko/20010628. It reportedly may not work with more recent Mozilla 
nightlies, though.
