accessing the alternative address?

Hello!


Is there a way to access the alternative email-address in the address 
picker when composing a new mail or newsposting?
If not, shouldn't there be one? Or why are you given the opportunity to 
*record* it if you can't *use* it (at least in a simple fashion, copy 
and paste is a last resort).
