Nice to know. It is no problem as BMP's are not my format of choice. I just
happened to use include them for the design process. However, I had to
mention this as it seems that the errorhandling of Mozilla for reading BMP's
may be what caused the strange behaviour.

Fine. I didn't expect it either. I just mentioned it to be complete. I have
buggy behaviour that can be caused by the interaction with anything.
What interests me most however, is whether there is anyone else who
experienced:
- the inexplicable slowness (accessing localhost should be fast)
- why it accesses this "arrow.gif" file from Mozilla's Res directory (and
why it can't load it). I certainly don't use this file in my page.
