Odd. It's no longer happening. Either I've just crossed back from an
alternate dimension where this behaviour does occur, or it's actually
something to do with Google's HTML code that has (within the past day)
been changed back to the way it was prior to when I first noticed the
behaviour. It must have just been a coincidence that this happened
with the Mozilla build I mentioned.
(I'd still be curious to know if anybody else observed the
phenomenon - just so I can tell myself it wasn't all in my head...)
