I am relieved to see somebody with a positive spin on this.
Hearing a repetitive "votes don't matter" made me feel less like the
(extremely small) part I've been of all of this. As a non-coder in
this case, the only sense of involvement can come from using the
product, participating in discussion, and voting. (If nothing else,
casting a vote gets you sent email whenever the bug status changes.)
But to hear it doesn't count makes you feel a bit disheartened - so I
appreciate the positive feedback.
