Merriam Webster dictionary offers sound on its web site. For example
http://www.m-w.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?va=ecchymotic
has a speaker icon that can be clicked on. However, my netscape 4.76 setup
on a Linux box does not allow me to use this feature (it tells me that it
needs a plug-in, refers me to the netscape web site, which in turn tells me
that the plug-in could not be found there)
If you are running 4.* version of netscape on a UNIX/Linux box and can use
the sound feature on Merriam-Webster web site, I'd very much like to hear
from you about your netscape configuration!

P.S. When a simple HTML file is linked to an *.au file, I can listen to it
without a problem.
