Let me guess:
Their authentication uses a simple password and they are afraid that the
form manager (which is turned on by default) might catch it and someone
else might gain access to your Mozilla profile and use the form manager
to log in.
I'm using Mozilla for banking with no problems. My bank uses one-time
pad authentication (each password is used only once), so things like the
form manager are non-issues.
