Alternately, you can selectively turn off javascript in the advanced
options of the preferences dialogue... which is a freeware alternative.
There's a nice freeware pop-up stopper for IE 4+, because disabling
the popups in IE is a rather complicated process, not so in Netscape
products...
a check box to disable JUST the javascript pop-up code would be a treat
though - not having to cripple javascript based layout features - most
of us know which sites we go to are blessed with pop-ups and which sites
need javascript to look or function correctly (and it's very rare that
they're the same sites) :)
