I am running VNC viewer on my underpowered notebook computer. This allows
me to "export" an X-windows desktop from my powerful linux box. I can run
all apps from my linux box on the screen of my win95 notebook. With a
wireless lan, it is really cool! Also, the hard drive of the notebook can
spin down, extending battery life!

The animated icon hogs the limited processing power of the notebook. Is
there any (simple) way to stop the icon animation?

Is there a file carrying the animated icon which can be deleted?

Thanks in advance!
