Default Mail Client

I'm sure this will have been asked before but I cannot find any 
reference to it.

Does anyone now how to set NS6.1 to be the default mail client. In other 
words make it respond to mailto: links etc.

IE settings only allow you to choose Outlook, Outlook Express or 
Hotmail. Should Netscape register itself or am I in the wrong place 
completly.
