I tried asking this on netscape.public.mozilla.win32 but it seems to be a more or less dead group so hopefully someone here will answer.
I have instslled Mozilla 0.9.4 and am trying to use the Gecko engine from Visual Basic. mozctlx.dll won't register, saying it needs some library files. I get a message box then a folder selection dialog to choose the folder where these libraries are. It is not happy with any of the folders in the Mozilla install folder. I have read the suggested web page at http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/control.htm, but it does not say what libraries are required or where they might be found. The only thing I have been able to do is set a reference to mozctl.dll, which gives the line. Reference=*\G{1339B53E-3453-11D2-93B9-000000000000}#1.0#0#D:\Program files\Mozilla\mozctl.dll#MozillaControl 1.0 Type Library I can see the whole of the web browser interface but there seems no way to create any objects. Please help. I don't have the resources to compile everything. Roger Abbott
