Howdy, (The CTRL-T to bring up tabbed windows is pretty handy)
Thought I would bring up some odd behaviors I am seeing in textareas, in case anyone is interested. There is an old and a new problem. I am using Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.4+) Gecko/20011005 to interact with the standard administrative interface to mailman. The old problem may be due to mailman generating bad code, but it displays ok in Netscape 4.76. Here is a piece I saved, (with some minor redacting): http://www.leewardfpga.com/wine-cvs.html Notice that there are two messages here, but the "Posting Held for Approval (2 of 2)" etc for the second message got stuck into the Message Excerpt area of the first message. I really don't know enough HTML to analyze the source. The second problem is a new one, starting with nightlies of a week or two ago (I don't know exactly when it started). Play with the scroll bars and buttons a bit, and what I see is some interesting interaction among the controls. When you slide one of the scrollbars, and then click on a a different scrollbar or button, the scrollbar you had previously slid will jump. This gets especially interesting in a case like this: - slide the bottom scrollbar (on the fourth textarea) - now scroll the entire mozilla window so the fourth text area is no longer visible. - click one of the buttons - the entire window jumps down and the fourth text area jumps - scroll the whole window back down. Notice that the shading on the button you clicked has changed, but it was not repainted as selected, and the previously selected button remains painted as selected. -- My real email is akamail.com@dclark (or something like that).
