I also experience the reload phenomenon. Try going to this site:
    http://www.meyerweb.com/eric/css/edge/complexspiral/demo.html
I find that the first time there, the image takes long to display.
Thereafter, if going back one page or forward one page the box
*never* reappears for me. I have to hit reload current page for it
to redisplay properly. I thought this kind of stuff was happening
to me only.
