Hi ... hope this is the right forum for this question. If not, please direct me elsewhere.
I loaded 9.6 for Win98 (IBM T21 laptop with cable modem), but I get "server not found" messages whenever I try to pull up a site or connect to my e-mail server. I may have inadvertently deleted a system file of some sort when I was doing some housecleaning, but I can't be certain. I was running 9.5 just fine and have had to go back to it. I loaded 9.6 on my work computer and it works just fine. Here are some of the things I have tried: 1. Reinstalled 9.6 2. Deleted 9.6 and tried a fresh install 3. Downloaded a fresh copy of 9.6 4. Reinstalled Windows (!!!) and installed 9.6 5. Deleted 9.6, reloaded 9.5, then installed 9.6 over the top of it As of now, I'm back to 9.5 and stumped. Is there some secret switch I am missing? Worse comes to worse, I'll wait for 9.7 ... I would appreciate any thoughts. John
