There are several ways to crash the message filter editor.
They are pretty much reproducible.
(Mozilla 0.9.6 Build ID 2001112009 on Win98)
The first way to crash:
1. Start mailnews. The header "Mozilla Mail - [EMAIL PROTECTED]"
appears in the big window.
2. Select "Advanced features: create message filters" below.
3. From the pop-up window, click "New".
4. Click some 30 times on "More" to add lines. No need to type anything.
5. Select action "delete the message" (for example, does
not matter what action you want it to take)
6. Click OK.
7. Select the newly created filter. Click on "Edit".
8. Click on "more" to add a line (or add several lines).
9. Click OK. Crash!
The second way:
1. Do as above until step 8.
2. Start whacking the "Fewer" button to remove lines.
3. Continue until crash. Just before the crash I saw
the current date in a field to which I had not typed anything!
Third way:
1. Again do as in the first way until step 8.
2. Click on "less" a couple of times to remove lines.
3. Scroll the list up and down with the mouse a few times.
4. The current date appears at random fields. If not, go to
step 2 and try again.
5. The up/down scrolling with the dates appearing may crash Mozilla.
Fourth way:
1. Just experiment with it. You'll crash it. This may be an overflow bug.
I witnessed the crash with only 17 entries on the list,
trying to add more.
Can anyone confirm?
