QuickTime -> Edit ->Preferences->QuickTime Settings->Browser
Plug-in(should de default on drop-down, QuickTime Settings is also an
option in the context menu of the plugin in Mozilla) Open MIME Settings,
expand Images, uncheck what you don't what Quicktime to handle. I was
poking around Bugzilla, and besides the fact that people don't think
this procedure should be necessary(Mozilla should look at its
capabilities before asking for help), it doesn't work on OSX or Windows
with versions of Quicktime before 5.0.2, but you are using linux... Look
at Bugs 103934 and 69719. Another question, does anyone know what the
preferred settings for Quicktime are so that Mozilla opens everything
that it can natively???
