I think somebody made that page as a gag, playing on communist symbolism or not,
and then someone different thought the star thingie was neat, and cut it
out for an icon (or maybe I should say "a small picture of a star" so I
don't offend protestants :P)
But I think the general tone here is coherent with the larger populous;
Don't like it? change it.
... And I don't think politics and ideology should be taken too
seriously anyways. If I had a uninvent gadget, I'd uninvent two things:
Religion and Internet explorer :D
