Yeah I know it *should* be fine but it's not. OS 9 performance is great but Moz on OS X is slow and even IE on OS X (latest version etc) is slow. With IE, it's not so much the app in general (although it's got that annoying non-threaded renderer which means a complex page rendering will freeze the whole IE process) but the little things like Control-clicking an image and selecting "Save as" and waiting for the dialog to popup and selecting where to save to. There's just heaps of things that I now have to wait for that I didn't under OS 9. With Mozilla, it's just a general slowness. Waiting for the app to open, waiting for windows to open, waiting for clicks etc. to be noticed. I've tried out the Mach-o build and it's much better but it's quite rough around the edges. When it's part of the 'Normal' build, I'll start using it exclusively. If I didn't want to get into OS X development, I wouldn't bother to keep using it. -- . \|/ .
