Using Win-98 and Netscape Communicator 4.5.
While online I invariably get the following error message, and it keeps
appearing several times and will do one of two things, take me back off
the net to my PC boot page, or lock up the screen and cause me to have
to do a "Cntrl/Alt/Del" to be able to shut the computer down.
It says the following:
Netscape This program has performed an illegal operation and will be
shut down.
If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.
Details says:
Netscape caused an invalid page fault in module
WSOCK32.DLL at 0167:75fac4ce
Registers: bla bla bla etc.
I've even uninstalled Netscape twice and reinstalled it twice from the
CD. but the problem still pops up.
Can anyone shed some light on this problem?
