I suppose I should report back on this. The situation continues as before and with the same symptoms. I simply cannot get Mozilla to work. I have tried loading off-line the first time, but as soon as I connect to the Internet and try to access any website, it repeats the behavior previously described (progress bar freezes, power off required). This happens whether I import a profile or create a new one, and whether I turn antivirus off or not. It continues through 0.9.7. Each time I uninstall, I remove every reference to Mozilla on my hard drive, but the problems recur with every new install. This started with 0.9.6, and has persisted through every build since that time. I don't even know how to file a bug on this, since it is such a massive failure. In any event, it has rendered Mozilla useless to me and I can only hope that the next Netscape won't inherit whatever has messed up Mozilla. -- Gord McFee I'll write no line before its time
