Greetings - hopefully this is an appropriate place for this question. I've just installed Netscape 6.2.1 as I was starting to have problems with 4.73 (I may post details of the problem if anyone's interested as it was a strange one - to do with the prog taking _ages_ to process a downloaded email for the first time, or move it into the trash, otherwise working fine).
Anyway - I want to know where Netscape 6.2.1 stores it's mail & newsgroup messages so I can be sure I'm taking backups of them. ver 4.73 stored them in C:/Program Files/Netscape/Users/[profilename] After removing ver 4.73 & installing ver 6.2.1 I now have C:/Program Files/Netscape/Netscape6 which doesn't appear to contain any profile-specific directories C:/Program Files/Netscape/Users/[profilename] still exists. Upon running Netscape 6.2.1 I'm prompted to select a profile from a list of my ver 4.73 profiles. I select one and am asked if I want to convert from a ver 4 profile to ver 6. I'm informed this will not alter my ver 4 profiles. Confirming I want to convert I can then access my profiles fine. No problems. C:/Program Files/Netscape/Netscape6 still appears to contain no profile-specific files subsequent to this action. So..... does C:/Program Files/Netscape/Users still contain the ver 4.73 profiles (files within do not appear to have been modified since the upgrade & subsequent mail actions, but have been accessed) where is ver 6.2.1 mail & newsgroup profile info stored so I can ensure I am backing them up?
