I've followed it the whole time with a very large grain of salt. I
don't go to cnn.com very much (not big on news), but I've been going to
it every day at least once trying to figure out what exactly he has done
to make it show him a 7 day old page. I can't fathom why. I can only
assume he has cleared his cache at some point (i have not. I have not
cleared my disk cache in... ok, I'm thinking like .9.3 was the last
time), I just let stuff expire naturally. I have no idea what could
possibly be wrong, but I can not reproduce this, or anything even
remotely similar on two Win 2k machines and a Linux machine (one Win 2k
machine is a CVS build, one is an installer, the linux machine is an
installer build). One Win 2k machine runs proxomitron, the linux
machine gets it's net access through that machine via WinProxy, which
goes through proxomitron, the other Win 2k machine is just a direct
connection. I don't see any cache problems on any machine
