In mail & News when I select a folder and choose properties I get a dialog window with a menu to set the character encoding. This menu is too long for my monitor (which is 960 pixels high) and won't scroll. So it is impossible to set the character encoding to Western... I see this in both Mozilla and Netscape 6.2.1 Mac Edition.
