gcc3.0 vs gcc2.95

For some reason, only the gcc3.0 version of Mozilla works on my 
computer(newly installed Debian woody linux with both gcc2.95.4 and 
3.0.2) and not the 'normal' gcc2 version.  It is no big deal, but I was 
just curious as to whether there are any issues that I should be aware 
of and whether I should mention it when reporting bugs or alternatively 
that there is no substanative difference...
