Hello everybody

Dont understand what the hackslashing here is about, but there is indeed
a download problem. I encountered one today and it was quickly clear
what was the cause: the interim-file (mashinegenerated name).(extension)
is stored in the system's TEMP dirctory which is say on drive "C:"
(Windows). Now it does not matter where you direct your download in the
UI, the downloaded file always first lands on "C:". As my "C:" has just
some 50 MB freespace, a download of 100 MB cannot work. Interesting
enough the download runs unimpressed over the whole 100 MB (probably
stored in RAM) and terminates silently (= without error message).

1. I am happy to read there will be a download manager soon, that is
clearly missing.

2. An interim solution to the failure above would mean:
    a) please check for basic error conditions. It is a programmer's
horror to see that filewrites are not checked for success.
    b) I can see no need for a interim-file. Just write the data
received to the destination the user has entered. If for some reason
buffering is necessary, it should be in the same path as the entered
destination.
