Victor,

Thanks for your help, I figured it out - I selected a cert for signing
but not for encryption - since I can sign with one cert and encrypt
with another, I have to choose each one specifically.  When only a
signature cert is selected, this error comes up.  It's a bit confusing
but now it works!
