To Mozilla, and to Apache, visiting http://localhost/ is no different than visiting any other host. Apache serves the file, Mozilla downloads the file. If instead of visiting http://... you pointed your browser to c:\... I imagine (I have not confirmed this) that the file would be sent straight to your helper application. -- Chris
