Oh, it just worked! My account of what didn't work: 1. select folder 2. View->Set as personal toolbar folder My account of what worked: 1. double click on the folder so it opens up 2. View->Set as personal toolbar folder It would be nice if Mozilla worked for both cases. Another thing I noticed is that when I open the Bookmark Manager, the topmost item visually appears to be selected but isn't actually selected (evident in the fact that all actions are disabled in the menu).
