Hi!

Since several mozilla releases on Win2000 (other OSes I didn't have
tested) I recognize an unpleasent effect, when I visit
http://slashdot.org/ (and only there the effect seems to occur!). It's
difficult to describe, so please have a look at my screenshot first:
http://home.t-online.de/home/sierk.bornemann/test/sshot1.png.
It might have to do something with rendering GIF-transparency correctly.
This effect nerves me, and since we are closer to mozilla 1.0, I want
this to be fixed . On bugzilla, I haven't found a filed bug, that fits.
So first, before filing a new one, I want to ask, if somebody else also
recognized, what I am describing above.
The effect is reproducable, but doesn't occur regulary. Mostly it
occurs, when I visit the page the first time, but it vanishes at once,
if I simply scroll the page.
Looking at the source of the page, it seems to be, that
http://images.slashdot.org/slc.gif, causes this effect.
