Cannot send mail

Laterly I could not reply to, or send mail, while using Mozilla 0.9.7 
even after removing and re-installing. I have now downloaded 0.9.8 but 
problem still exists. I get a pop-up box saying this programme has 
performed an illegal operation etc. Mozilla caused an invalid page fault 
in module MSGSMIME.DLL ... I am sending this plea for help using 
Netscape 6.2 which is not affected. Regards, Robert
