topic.

I am using Mozilla 0.9.2 with WebClient 1.1. The java applets work fine

You have encountered bug
<http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57689>. This is actually
a bug in the java plugin. I realize that not having applets in
webclient is a showstopper, but perhaps someone will get waterfall
working to solve this problem.
