start mozilla with the flag -ProfileManager and create a new profile and 
choose its folder to be somewhere on z:.  Now your cache is on z: along 
with the profile.  Note this is still considered a bug, on recent linux 
builds, going by the 'Save as' route saves a file directly to the 
desired location.  Recent Windows builds may have been similarly fixed...
