Try making sure there aren't any proxies specified. Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Proxies
Alternatively it may be that you require a proxy to be specified. See what is specified in Netscape and copy the settings over to Mozilla. In Netscape 4.x the setting should be in the same place. -- Colin *Drop DEAD from the email address to reply*
