Of course you are very correct. I am an ISP and it takes a court order
to invade my records. I've already been visited by U.S. Marshalls on
more than one occasion demanding to inspect my user database. If they
are armed with a "court order" and they bring along a tech fluent in
UNIX then they can gain access and if not then they cannot.
