I'm more confused than ever. According to the Mozilla release notes, you require the J2SDK to get the .dll (NPOJI610.dll) needed for the plug-in to work, though I've also been informed that the JRE should be good enough. However, that particular .dll isn't available in with any JRE I've had on my machine, just with the JDK.
Yet, from the user end, it makes no sense to have to download the JDK just to get Java applets to run. Not sure that's of much help; just letting you know what my experience was. — Brian
