browser is very impressive, and I can't wait to see the progress that's
been made in Mozilla reflect in Netscape 6.x. I've been looking at the
new (that is, finally fixed) features in Mozilla, and I have a few brief
(mainly cosmetic) comments:

Regarding the mail notification... IT'S ABOUT TIME! One of the concepts
I love is to have Moz humming away in the background, having all of my
connections still running, checking my mail etc. on my nice cable modem
and being able to tell at a glance at the screen in passing whether or
not I have new mail! I'm so happy! But, the graphic for it has just a
tad of a whang to it, if they make a kick-ass appealing graphic that
would be great!

Also when it gives the pop up menu saying "so-in-so has new messages,"
it seems to be tied to the account name. Wouldn't it be more prudent to
make this the display name for the account, or even better, let the user
choose his or her name?

Regarding the (again IT'S ABOUT TIME) icon for watched messages in
newsgroup threads, I'm very glad it's there, but 1) being so mixed with
the 'thread' icon, it's kind of vague to pick out a watched thread from
a non-watched thread when you're scrolling down. I find that I still
have a tendency to label a message a certain color when I'm looking for
it for ease. Also, when I post I'd like to mark the thread to be
watched even though no replies have been made to it yet. I have no idea
if it marks the message as watched or not; there is no watched icon for
a message unless there have been replies!

And finally the little mail notification icon that is within the browser
itself (the little green arrow on the envelope on the Modern theme),
doesn't seem yet to be uniform throughout the browser. For instance, if
I receive a message, the little green arrow goes up. If I open another
browser window (instead of going to mail/news to read it) there is no
little green icon! I'd like to see it in all windows until I read my
mail. Hehe, this old mind forgets these things!

Maybe I'm missing something, but there still appears to be no function
for Mozilla to delete messages off of a server after xx amount of days.
I'd like for it to stay on there so I can read it from more than one
location, but not long enough for it to clog up my ISP's stingy limit.

What else can I say? I know most people use these newsgroups to simply
whine and complain that things aren't like they want them or feature
number 1024768 isn't working correctly... and I feel awful because this
is all and exactly what I've done. But one thing I do feel is that the
users play a very important role in the development of Mozilla/Netscape,
a feeling that I rarely get with products. I hope my suggestions and
'experience' as an end user don't upset anyone, I don't mean to start a
flame war. Thanks so much for working on such an awesome browser. The
features really do outweight IE/OE, can't wait until 1.0!!!

Best regards,
Kenneth
