Hey guys, I'm pretty much down to one last little biff with mail/news. To be honest, I'm not sure if this is a bug, a feature request, or even if it is a known/realized issue.
In newsgroups, most both web-based forums and application readers provide a way to let a user know immediately whether or not a post has been made to a watched thread. In web based forums, this comes as an option to "email me when someone replies to my thread." In applications (such as Outlook express... yeeck) a newsgroup containing a watched thread with a new unread message in it shows up red instead of black. Will Mozilla provide any kind of functionality like this in the end? If there's a bug report for it, I couldn't find it. And if there is, could someone give me a link so that I can vote on it? This is pretty much the last of my 'essential quirks' that Mozilla must have to make it superior. Well, that and being able to tell if a potential thread is watched or not when it doesn't have any replies to a single message. (ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY but I'm assuming such an obvious oversight will be fixed in the end). Thanks for any feedback. I hope I didn't step on any toes being the novice that I am ;-) Appologies if I did. Best regards, Kenneth
