Hi everyone, I am trying to access the Mozilla newsgroups using a laptop running Win NT (company computer). I created an account for server news.mozilla.org, and specified port 119 and no SSL. When I try to receive messages for a mozilla newsgroup, I get an error message saying "Could not connect to server news.mozilla.org; the connection was refused." When I changed the account to port 563 and SSL selected, I could connect to the newsgroup, but could not receive any messages dated after March 2.
I thought this might be a firewall issue, but I have a second computer (from which I am writing this note) running Win 2K and plugged into the same cable modem. On the second computer, the Mozilla newsgroup account is set up using port 119 and no SSL. The second computer connects to the newsgroup and receives all messages successfully! Any ideas on what the problem might be with the Win NT laptop? Thanks very much. Dom
