For an earlier "standard" than this, pertaining to mammals in general and humans in particular (human history, remember), how about "male" (external plumbing) and "female" (internal plumbing). Now, why doesn't this newsgroup go back to Netscape and Mozilla discussion where it belongs? It's getting to be a real PITA going through messages to find anything useful!
