That's true. Given the reasons why a 1.0 is planned, it might be better to call it a "preview version" (in the sense that it contains all the API's in final form but not yet quite ready for embedding in other apps) and wait until it is stable enough to call it a "release version". A couple of weeks should be enough. That way companies can start developing for the new API's but are forewarned that it is not yet quite ready for embedding. Thus everyone is saved the embarrasment of a Netscape 6.0-type mistake.
