I posted this previously in n.p.m.prefs, but there isn't much activity there, so I thought I'd try over here....
I'm hoping someone might be able to help with this. A while back, I installed a test build containing a bug fix patch. It didn't work right so I uninstalled it and went back to the regular nightly builds. Since then, I no longer get the mozilla version number on the About screen. An added problem is that I can no longer dl or use themes, they all say that I must be using mozilla to install. I sort of know what happened, but don't know how to fix it. Since installing the test version, I have more than one "location" directory in my profile:US and en-US. In think the nightlies are putting info into the US directory, but my profile seems to be reading the info from the en-US directory. I made a new profile, which creates a US directory, and copied the prefs.js from the new profile into my regular one and the version started appearing again. However, I lose all my mail and other settings that way. Rather than trying to get all my settings into a new profile (last time I tried this, hundreds of emails got corrupted), I'd rather try to fix the current one. I noticed a region setting in prefs and changed it from en-US to US, but that didn't seem to work. Any help would be appreciated. Ed
