The problem is that my Index home page looks PERFECT in all Windows browsers and in Netscape 4.x for Linux. It's only the new Mozilla that renders it wrongly. The Mozilla people told me that this was not a Mozilla bug but wrong coding. I did not realize this. By the way, Opera 5.0 for Linux, which also adheres strictly to the new W3C standards, shows the situation somewhat differently: the columns are all aligned perfectly at the top, but the distance between the first column and the second column is twice as great as that between the second column and the third column.
